Lyft Website Redesign
Introduction

This is a project in my second year of ixd program. The goal is redesigning an existing website. Preview the original site to find out what's wrong with it, and then redesign it to make it better. I chose Lyft for this project because When I was previewing lyft, I found some drawbacks, so I wanted to use the site as a design exercise for UI and UX.

Analyze the problem in the website

Through repeated visits to Lyft's official website, I found the following problems.

- When users reach a specific page, such as a "business" page, they cannot return to the original home page by clicking the icon in the upper left corner.

- The help center should be an important page for a taxi company. Because except register a driver or passenger account, users go to the PC website is to ask for help. They may need to report bad drivers or passengers, or report something they don't like about lyft. But in Lyft's site, the help center function doesn't stant out
.
- Hard to find how to apply to driver.

Content mapping

Since the purpose of the project was to find the shortcomings of the site and redesign it, I only reclassified the main fonctions and constructed a content map.

Wire Frame

These are wire frames for main pages.

Full Prototype

In the prototype, I focused on designing the application page to be the driver, help center and the booking airport pickup page. Since the entry of these two functions was difficult for users to find in the original website, I designed them in a prominent position so that users could see these functions on the home page.

Website Design Style Guide

Here is a simple design guide. Since it is a second year's assignment in school, it is not a real drill, so it does not show the pixel size of all the objects in the prototype, but simply shows my color and font size.
